Head of Projects

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Head of Projects who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within early childhood for a Non For Profit organisation.

About your new role

In this role, the individual will assess the organisation's current project management maturity, tools, roadmap and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Executive team regarding the design of the PMO operating model and governance framework. The Head of Projects is responsible for leading organisational change management, which involves working with the PMO Lead to identify barriers to adoption such as cultural, resource or capability challenges and implementing a plan to build buy-in and track PMO integration across the organisation.

What you will need to exceed

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a PMO function, with a track record of achieving results, driving change, and mentoring others.
• Proven experience developing and successfully executing business goals and strategies both within a PMO and across an entire organisation.
• Sound, contemporary knowledge of project management frameworks, policies, and reporting structures, as well as advanced proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience working in a strategic consulting or project capacity, either in-house or within a management consulting firm.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence peers and senior executives, alongside the capacity to coach and develop the PMO Lead into a high-performing manager.
• Experience in the not-for-profit, community, or early childhood sectors, experience managing or designing budget processes, and formal qualifications in project or change management (such as Prince2, PMP, Agile, or Prosci).
